@bchesky Global membership for nomads. I’d pay y’all a 12 month lease to keep me housed around the world.
@bchesky AirBNB for commercial kitchens and music studios. Both are capital intensive and would help independent chefs and musicians alike with what is typically a hard thing to arrange. I’ll gladly be a beta tester. 🍔🎸
@bchesky Family reunion option: Provide a way to search/book multiple properties that are geographically close for large gatherings - could also apply for business meetings, company all-hands etc especially now that many people are remote and HQs can't host everyone
@bchesky I set my monthly budget and pay that to you on contract.
I'm shown long-term friendly stays by default, and the prices I see are discounted beyond the normal monthly discount, due to my year-long commitment.
Unused $$ per month rolls into the next month.
@bchesky Selfishly - a way to connect w other random people traveling to the same place at same time via common interests - make friends
Logically - crypto payments
Hilariously - teleport
Seriously - rate safeness of neighborhoods (had a few very nice places in horrible rough hoods)
@bchesky Renovation suggestions that make revenue sense for the host. Use images and other info to understand and suggest what amenities can be added to generate more revenue. Do the walls need some art ?
@bchesky Limit cleaning fee to a small percentage of rental fee. Some hosts have $50 rentals with $100 cleaning fees for private room listing.
@bchesky A more frequent cleaning/house keeping service for longer stays. Supplies such as towels and linen where owner doesn’t provide one. The only reason we sometimes choose a hotel over Airbnb.
A trusted sitter service.
@bchesky Mid-booking cleaning would be nice, especially for longer trips. Hosts could charge 2X or 3X the cleaning fee to have a service come once or twice during a stay. I don’t need nightly turndown service, but after a week, a place can get pretty messy, especially traveling with kids.
@bchesky Maybe a way to integrate with Visa application to other countries via Airbnb. Submit documents via Airbnb and then send your passport to get visa stamped. Although biometrics are still required so have to find something for that.

@bchesky A booking insurance at a nominal price, so that I don’t have to worry losing a lot of money if I were to cancel my reservation at the last minute.
(I’ve considered other options for some tentative bookings off late)
@bchesky Options for renting space out to film/commercial productions. My place is usually booked weekends but during the week could be perfect for 1-2 day productions
@bchesky Company retreats. Curate places based on employee count. Spin off a version of the current timeline view for people ops teams to plug in events (custom or Airbnb experiences) and easily share schedule with their teams.
@bchesky - Airbnb should know my preferences and learn what kind of places I like based only my ratings
- Use that to have search be more intelligent, scrolling through listings is a pain
- Will pay more for guaranteed high speed internet
@bchesky The ‘Superguest’ program is long over due and would help to add positive incentives for Guests and Hosts. As we get back to global travel in 2022 this could be a quality way to foster trust and good behaviour. 👍
@bchesky 🤔 Core benefits for Hosts / Guests: Superguest = rewards based on review performance similar to BDC (works quite well).
As a Host, Superguest = broader acceptance of it being a quality signal relating to Instant Booking by a wider cross section of the Hosting community.
@bchesky Additionally an Airbnber that is both a Superguest AND Superhost the sky is the limit on platform loyalty and rewards alongside an Elite level badge! (Context: hosted since 2013, travelled a lot & a community leader down here in Melb AU since 2014). Always happy to chat. 👍
@bchesky I just want three filters: Small kids-friendly, pet-friendly, has a nice view. I guess I’m not part of your target audience anymore since I got kids 🤷♀️. I used to love Airbnb, but it‘s unusable for me if I have to read through all the listings if they have a highchair or cot.
@bchesky You already have home rentals as well as experiences rentals.
You’re like 2 steps away from taking on Meetup and letting people make friends through shared weekend getaways centered around passion for certain experiences.
@bchesky An option to book a chef who will come in and cook your meals. (Great partnership opp.)
A family reunion filter, where you can book multiple properties in a close proximity. Good for work offsites, too.
A tool to let you what you could get from a property you list.
@bchesky Last minute pricing. If a place is still available with <48h to go, allow the host to set a significantly discounted price per night for ~3 nights. Could even be shown on a Great Deals list for a city. This would increase occupancy.
@bchesky Expanding the long-stay discount to consecutive long stays at different properties (ie: I want to go to Colombia for 3 months, but switch cities each month).
You’d have close to 365 days of me and my nomad friends’ business if the discount didn’t reset at each property.
@bchesky Real estate tokenization using blockchain technology - rent goes to all shareholders. This fractional ownership scheme will enable those who can’t run their own rental to participate. Happy to dig deeper!
@bchesky Did you ever consider renting Airbnbs by the hour? Use cases can be corporate events, business meetings, nap between flights or romantic rendez-vous ;-)
@bchesky Is it a crazy idea to launch Welcome Baskets?
A better, modern day “mint on pillow”. Simple, meaningful and enjoyable. A nice way for customers to start each stay. A simple way for hosts to enhance each stay (+ reviews). And a subtle way for Airbnb’s brand to be at each stay.
@bchesky “Concierge”… Tools to help hosts act as digital concierges with just a bit of upfront recommendation setup
@bchesky 1) Make sure that airbnb cost is reasonable comapred to hostels and hotels. 2) A lot of hosts charge high cleaning fees but also expect guests to keep the place as clean as they received it on checkout. 3) Reviews should show up regardless if both parties have wrote one or not.
