"travel in the end" I'm not convinced All Things To All Things is ever workable as a strategy. They're falling way behind in Enterprise...

As usual - great newsletter.

Sometimes I wonder if Altman isn't actually just a GPT bot. Those comments on the travel industry are quite a random association of words that sound plausible.

Love those alternative words. BTW with some friends we made a brilliant dictionary that defines them really well. Shameless plug: Lomar-dictionary.com (here's the etymology of Eustress: The word “eustress” combines the Greek prefix eu-, meaning “good” or “well,” with the English word “stress.” It was first used in the mid-20th century to describe stress that has a positive outcome or effect, especially as distinguished from “distress,” which means harmful stress.)

Lol so true: And let’s be honest…most of the people yelling “bubble!” aren’t the ones risking their own money.

Interesting take on anti-trends. It is much harder to do at scale when it is one's own money that is on the line. Works best for those who have a high tolerance for the odds being against them. But small IRL events is low risk and a great idea.

Avi's post - a founder telling others not to become founders or looking to hire people? Either way. My take is this, some people should build companies and work non-stop and focus 200% on that. Others should have jobs and take care of families. Some others are in-between. Entrepreneurship is a hard and mostly ungrateful work. Few are cut-out for it, really few.
